Namecheap VS GoDaddy Domain Name – Which One Is Better

Namecheap and GoDaddy both are so popular domain name registration providers. Many peoples ask which one is better between GoDaddy and Namecheap for domain name. From where they should buy domain name for their websites or blog?

In additional both GoDaddy and Namecheap provide hosting with domain name registration. But I am going to discuss about the domain registration. You can host your website on other different hosting server using domain from GoDaddy or Namecheap.

In this post I am going to tell you which one between these two domain name providers you should choose.

Namecheap or GoDaddy? Where to buy domain name?

Namecheap and Godaddy are two of the most popular domain registrars trusted by millions of customers around the world. Both of them provides great features, services and have many things in common.

Both of these two domain name registrars are really so good and I have good experience with them. But here I am going to tell you when should you choose GoDaddy and in which situation you should buy your domain from Namecheap.

Domain names from GoDaddy are cheaper than Namecheap. So if you want to save your money and you want your domain fast then you can buy your domain from GoDaddy. So in case of saving money GoDaddy is better than Namecheap domain.

Well, if you are planning for running your website or blog for more than 2 years, I mean for long time, then you should buy your domain from Namecheap. But, if you are just trying to claim a name fast, and don’t want to transferring it later – then GoDaddy will be good and save few money.

But there are more for a domain name registers then just price. In case of choosing domain name I always consider the overall experience of purchasing, using, and navigating the site.

In Namecheap you will get free privacy for one year but in GoDaddy you have to purchase it at $9 which is much expensive. Namecheap also offers SSLs at exclusively low rates as compared to Godaddy. You can buy your own Comodo SSL starting at just $9.99/year. SSLs at Godaddy starts from $69.99. So SSL is much expensive in case of GoDaddy.

An easy-to-use dashboard is one of the most attractive and demanded feature for any domain name registrar or hosting provider. The checkout process of Namecheap is extremely smooth, easy and seamless with a nice control panel. On the other hand, Godaddy provides a confusing checkout process and control panel may be problematic and complicated for the newbie users.

Though Namecheap have lesser customers than GoDaddy, but it doesn’t have a bad past and it successfully offers value-added services to the customers. On my end, Namecheap is the prominent winner for its amazing support, plans, user interface, nice and clean control panel and features.

Godaddy still needs to improve their pricing and customer support.
