Often it can found that some webmasters or bloggers do something to rank better on search engines which can be considered as a clear webspam. Keyword Stuffing is one of the search engine optimization technique which often considered as “black hat” technique of SEO.

What is keyword stuffing is actually?

““Keyword stuffing” refers to the practice of loading a webpage with keywords or numbers in an attempt to manipulate a site’s ranking in Google search results. Often these keywords appear in a list or group, or out of context (not as natural prose). Filling pages with keywords or numbers results in a negative user experience, and can harm your site’s ranking. Focus on creating useful, information-rich content that uses keywords appropriately and in context.”

There are various method of keyword stuffing can be found. Some of the popular keyword stuffing method are given below that can be considered as “black hat” SEO technique:

• Making invisible or hidden text inside the body of a web page or making the text color as same as background color of the web page to make the text invisible. These text may be search queries for those keywords with high volume of search. These are not visible to peoples but search engine can read these types of text.
• Another example of keyword stuffing is to insert repeating keywords within the input type=”hidden” field meta tag or the keyword tag so that the keywords are not seen by the user but can be scanned by search engine easily.
• Block paragraphs with the list of different search terms. These has no use and also not useful for readers. This technique done in the purpose of appearing the site in search results.
• Repeating some keywords several time to increase the keyword density that makes different from it’s natural looks and create a poor experience for readers.

Why keyword stuffing is bad and how it negatively affects on a site?

If your site or any other site can be found in keyword stuffing then the site owner can see a huge drop in search traffic. Thus the site will lose its traffic which is so important for a site.

If you want to recover your site after penalized for keyword stuffing and for this purpose you start to get rid of this technique then it will take so long time to gain the lost traffic again. Even in most of these cases the affects does not fully recovered. So it is a good idea to avoid these types of technique from now. Always concentrate in creating good content for readers to help peoples. If you never found in doing any wrong thing or web spam then surely, your site will never be affected by Google algorithm updates like Penguin and Panda update.
